I'm finished!

Ok, so some people might think that I've been lazy in regards to my lack of blogging of late. While this may, in part, be true, the reality is that the high-pressue of my internship, and consequently, my completion of university, has kind of taken priority over everything except breathing and (occasionally) eating.

But the good news is that, as of 3:00pm yesterday, I officially finished my university studies! Hurrah!! Four years, 32 subjects, 60+ assignments and about 8,453 cups of coffee later, I've come out the other side with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education (Primary). This is quite a weird feeling, and I'm sure it wont sink in for a while yet. I've put in all my applications for Education Queensland, and now just have to wait for the phone call from the pen-pusher in Central Office who will let me know my fate (sentence??) for next year. Hmmmm.... looking forward to THAT!

Meanwhile, I'm quite happy with how my internship went at Beechmont. To an extent, I was able to just relax and focus on teaching. The first 2 weeks went quite slowly, but the last two flew by. The main project I had the kids doing were animations on the computers (either using Lego, clay, 'real people' or other objects). These were fun and turned out quite well, and I think we all learnt a fair bit along the way!

This week, I'm taking it easy, and doing some 'normal' things again that I've missed out on over the last 11 weeks (like going out and getting shit-faced).

But for now, more sleep is on the agenda...

Congratulations.

It will be a weird feeling for a while, not having to think about Uni study.

It is a NICE feeling.

Are you joining us for a bit soon?
Or was that a rumour?

And here was me thinking you were dead or Internet-less (they're the same thing, right?)

Congratulations on getting all the way through, hope you get a good posting.
