Welcome to the land of iPod

I did it. Last Thursday I bit the bullet and went out and bought a new video iPod.

Yes, I love it. Yes, I want to have its babies...

It's soooooo nice and shiny. 80GB of pure iPod bliss. I've downloaded a handful of Music Videos from iTunes and tried them out... they look so awesome. I've also downloaded a stack of vodcasts from the Chaser's War on Everything, Ronny John's Half Hour, and Thank God You're Here. It is soooo fantastic...

It has even passed the first "drop-test" when I accidentally dropped it on some hard, kitchen tiles (whilst seeing my life flash before my eyes).... and it still works! Yay!

Yum. Yum. Yum.

Excuse me while I get a towel to clean up the drool....

It is good to know it can survive the drop test.

I had to be content with buying a cheap mp3 player. Having lost two UPSs and one computer in last week due to power problems. Thankfully two items are still under warranty.

Mp3 menu was originally in Korean (this is why it was cheap?) till I figured out how to change that - not easy in Korean :-)
Works well now.

Not as good as the iPod :-( but it will do.

My money went into buying a gift (and two surprise gifts) for my wife. There is a LOT of fun in giving surprise gifts. Especially seeing the look on the face of the person receiving them when it is totally unexpected. :-)
Saturday was a really good day for me.

I would have to say for me the giving is probably better than receiving. Making someone else happy is always a good way to cheer your self up.
